Curry Mountain

Date: 5/3/2015
Distance: 6.6

I didn't have much time today, so the Curry Mountain Trail was the perfect target.  The trail starts a tenth of a mile or so up the Little River Road from Metcalf Bottoms towards Gatlinburg.  There is no parking at the trail, so you have to park at Metcalf and walk on the side of the road.

The trail quickly starts up the mountain to get the heart pumping.  The trail parallels the road for about 1 mile, so you can hear the traffic below for about 1/3rd of the hike.
About 1/2 way up the trail, it opens up a bit and there are a few views off the side of the trail.

I ran across a few Pink Lady Slippers on the way up.

There were also a few dwarf iris that still had some life.
When I reached the Meigs Mountain Trail, I turned around and returned to the car.
